Viltier has its registered office at 46 rue de Verneuil in Paris (75007). In this Privacy Policy, we use the term Viltier (as well as “we”, “us” and “our”) to refer to Viltier’s registered office whose address is indicated above.
We kindly ask you to take a few moments to read the policy as well as our Cookie Policy which explains how we collect, use, disclose and transfer the personal information you provide to us on our websites and other digital platforms (together the "Platforms"), when you visit the Viltier showroom, when you contact the Viltier concierge by phone, or when you interact with us on social media platforms. Our Cookie Policy also explains how we collect information through the use of cookies and related technologies when you use our Platforms.

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. If we update it, we will post the changes on this Platform.
INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE TO US AND HOW WE USE IT
We collect information about you as detailed below:
- To access certain areas of our Platform, you will need to register with us. During the registration process, you will be asked to provide personal information about yourself (which includes your name, address, date of birth, email and telephone number). By entering your details in the required fields, you allow Viltier to provide you with the services you select;
- When you purchase products online or over the phone, we collect information such as your purchase details and relevant billing information. In addition, we will also collect personal information about you when you communicate with us (for example, if you contact us with a question about one of our products or services), when you provide your contact details at the time of visiting the Viltier showroom or when you communicate with the Viltier concierge by phone. Please note that calls will occasionally be recorded for security, training and improvement purposes;
- If you choose to interact with Viltier through a social media platform or other third-party service, we will collect the information you provide to us through that platform;
- We also automatically collect certain information about visitors to our Platform, detailed in our Cookie Policy ; and
- We will collect information relating to your location, to the extent we provide any location services, as described in the “ Location Services ” section below.
We will use the information we collect from you to:
- Manage and respond to repair requests, as well as provide after-sales services;
- Manage accounts and records;
- Process your questions and requests;
- Send service-related communications, including announcements and administrative messages such as order confirmation;
- Identify products and services that we think may be of interest to you, based on your information such as your purchase history and previous interactions with us;
- Send you marketing communications (including emails and social media audience correspondence) about us and other third party partners which we believe may be of interest to you, where we have a legitimate basis to do so (please see the “Your Choices ” section below for more information on how you can control these communications);
- Conduct market research as part of the constant improvement of the services we provide to our customers;
- Perform credit checks, prevent fraud and other prohibited or illegal activities, and as part of our efforts to maintain the security of our Platform; and

Network advertisers are third parties that display ads based on your visits to the Platforms, as well as other apps and sites you have visited. We do not control third-party tracking technologies, even if they are associated with our Platforms or our advertising. Statements about our practices do not apply to the information collection methods used by these third parties and other entities regarding the use of the information that such third parties or other entities collect. We make no representations regarding the policies or practices of third-party advertisers, ad networks or exchanges, or any associated third parties.
You have choices regarding the delivery of advertising. You may opt out of receiving certain types of behavioral advertising by visiting third-party websites and as described in our Cookie Policy. We are not responsible for the effectiveness or compliance of any third-party opt-out options.
AUTOMATED DECISION MAKING
We use innovative technologies to help us identify and predict products, services and other information that may be of interest to you based on the information you provide. To do this, we use algorithm-based methods. As such, automated decisions about you may be made using technology, without human intervention. This may involve automated decisions about our products, services, event invitations, personal benefits or other information. The purpose is based on our legitimate interest in improving your experience of our products and services by responding efficiently and quickly to your feedback, and by offering you personalized products and services. LOCATION SERVICES
Some of the services we provide may use information about your location. For these services, which are typically available on mobile devices or applications, you have the option to consent to the use of location services that, for example, process information from GPS, sensors, beacons or Wi-Fi hotspots to provide you with a more personalized service. Your device has settings that allow you to disable these services if you no longer wish to benefit from them.
SHARING YOUR INFORMATION
We do not rent, sell, or share your personal information with other people or unaffiliated companies except under the following circumstances:

- we will disclose your personal information to any third party that acquires or to which we transfer all or substantially all of our assets and business. Should such a sale or transfer occur, we will use reasonable efforts to ensure that the entity to which we transfer your personal information uses it in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Conditions for sharing data with an Authorized Distributor
In addition to the above, when you interact with our network of authorized distributors, we may from time to time ask for your consent to share your information with an authorized distributor for the following purposes:
- provide you with the services you have requested;
- improve your customer journey and experience within the stores when you interact with our products and services and/or our authorized distributors;
- ensuring that the information we hold about you is accurate and up to date, including recording purchases, warranty extensions and other transactions, and storing your marketing preferences; and
- manage customer and seller relationships to improve cooperation with our authorized distributors and provide you with a tailored customer experience.
In cases where an authorized distributor needs to access the information we hold about you, we will ask for your permission to share it with them before granting them access. If you authorize us to share your information with an authorized distributor, we will maintain appropriate measures to ensure the security of your information. If your information is shared with an authorized distributor, Viltier and the relevant authorized reseller may simultaneously act as a data controller and/or independent processor in respect of your information, depending on how we or our authorized distributor interact with you.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
We have implemented standard contractual clauses to ensure that adequate safeguards are in place to protect your information when it is transferred to our affiliates and stores in territories outside the European Economic Area and Switzerland. Where we share your information with a third party service provider outside the European Economic Area and Switzerland (as detailed in the section titled “ Sharing Your Information” ), we contractually require the third party service provider to implement adequate security measures to protect your information.
PROTECTION OF YOUR INFORMATION
We want you to feel confident using our Platform and are committed to protecting the personal information we collect. We limit access to your personal information to those employees who reasonably need to know, in order to provide products or services to you or to carry out their job duties. We have appropriate physical, electronic and procedural, technical and organizational safeguards in place to protect the personal information you provide to us against unauthorized or unlawful processing, as well as accidental loss, damage or destruction. However, where we ask you to choose a password to access certain parts of our Platform, you are responsible for choosing a secure password and for keeping this password confidential. You should not choose a password that you have chosen for any other website, and you should not share it with anyone.
RETENTION OF YOUR INFORMATION
We only keep your information for as long as necessary for our purposes, including to protect us in the event of a dispute (for example, information relating to a contract with you will be kept for the duration of the contract and for up to ten years after its end). After this period, it will be deleted or, in some cases, made anonymous. Where we have asked for your consent to process your personal information and we have no other legal basis to continue processing it, we will delete your personal information if you subsequently withdraw your consent.
If you request that we no longer send you direct marketing communications, we will keep a record of your request and your contact details to ensure that your request is complied with.
YOUR CHOICES
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you in our records, to correct any inaccuracies and to update any outdated information. In certain circumstances, you have the right to request erasure of your personal information or a restriction on its use.
You have the right to object to our processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. In particular, you can ask us to stop sending you direct marketing communications at any time (please note, however, that we may continue to send you service-related (i.e. non-marketing) communications, such as email updates on the status of your order). If you have any concerns about how we use your information, please do not hesitate to contact us using the contact details below and we will do our best to resolve your concern. After investigating your complaint, we will respond in writing within a reasonable time setting out the corrective measures we propose. If you believe that we have processed your personal information unlawfully or in a manner that infringes your rights, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a European Data Protection Authority in your place of residence or work, or in the jurisdiction in which the processing took place.
